Please note that as of the 22nd December 2019, I made Melmore Stables unavailable for rental by holidaymakers. This was not an easy decision but circumstances made it necessary. I had accomodated some guests who thought it was acceptable to steal bedding, towels and torches from my property and the majority of guests were more than happy with their stay and I was happy to provide for them.
However, one pair of guests complained that I had not provided what they expected and left the foulest of reviews, full of criticism and outrageous lies. They also left a day early without informing me and the next day, I discovered that this had happened to my car.
This is the tailgate of my Motability car and this damage was done not with a key but quite obviously with a knife - possibly one of my own kitchen knives.
The company that accepts customer reviews refused to realise that the review in question included deliberate defamation and it wouldn't remove the review. That drastically reduced bookings in the following year and put me off holiday letting completely.
Melmore Stables is to be let on a long term basis and I will be moving elsewhere. I therefore wish to thank those guests who have appreciated my property and my work on it.
For anyone who may have been tempted to rent Melmore Stables, I won't be proffering any apologies - you know who is to blame.

The cottage itself was lovely very homely and in a nice setting, I would recommend. David was very attentive and welcome gifts were much appreciated.
"Thank you fr a wonderful stay." Reviewed 10 Jan 2019 (Mrs. A. P.) 5-star
Thank you so much for our stay. We truly loved it. We all wanted to get together to do some hiking and were unsure of where to base ourselves, truns out w lucked out finding your property.
It was very central for us and we amanged to do lots of hikes. After a long day on the hill, to return to a warm cosy house was perfect. The kitchen had everythong we needed and lots of room to all spend time together.
The local gifts and Rudy's (the dog's) treats were a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we will definitlely be back.
